Stealth and strategy will play an important role in Airborne Troops, although that doesn"t mean that the authentic WWII weapons that feature in the game won"t see plenty of use. No further information on the game has been released at present, but we"ll bring you more information on Airborne Troops--which is scheduled for release in Europe toward the end of this year--as soon as it becomes available.

Players will parachute into France after their plane is shot down, and the first mission will be to retrieve any items scattered during the descent. Enemy soldiers on the first level will be actively searching for John, so, as will be the case with approximately half of the game, stealth will be the key to success. The other half of the game will be combat-based, and while hand-to-hand combat will be possible, players will have access to around seven authentic WWII weapons, including a Luger pistol and a bazooka.

The player"s primary objective in the game is to sabotage German operations in order to ensure the success of the D-Day landings. Each of the seven missions in the game will feature its own primary and secondary objectives, though, including some that will see players fighting alongside members of a French resistance group called The Comet Network.
